Tsukkomi! (Tsukuba Comic Festa) 2011

Tsukkomi! (Tsukuba Comic Festa) 2011 was held this weekend in Ibaraki, Tsukuba.

I attended the final day, Sunday. After a Stormy Friday and Saturday, finally it was actually a very nice day to be at this convention this Sunday.

I went after meeting a few awesome folks back in Wonfes last week. While they had a small vendors and Doujinshi circle section, a lot of the focus was on cosplay- Mainly the Open Area and the Cosplay Fashion Show, as well as the Live Shows that were held after the days events.

Tsukuba is a easy trip from Akihabara, one line- the Tsukuba Express.

Going to Wonfes, and my first cosplay in years!!

Sup gang. I'm gonna be going to wonfes next week AND am gonna cosplay, I met up with Gixxer85 and went to Akihabara to check cosplay stores out. Fact is I haven't cosplayed in forever (like 2 years) and its the first time I'll be doing so if Frreaking Japan.

Anyways I'm gonna try cosplaying as Katsuragi Keima from The World God Only Knows! I like doing newer anime characters and the Otoshigami is like the only male role I like enough to want to cosplay as :3

Still in the works but I took a preview I guess, I'll have more once Wonfes comes around lol

I need to get a white PSP or make mine White XD;

Comiket 79 Mash Up Report

Hey gang, what's happenin? Comiket 79 has come and gone, It was one crazy week. I didn't have much time since I had to work immediately after comiket, but I can finally blog now that I'm done with New Years work. Lets get started...

This year, I met up with a couple of fellas. Some from our last venture in the summer, and also some new faces joined our party. Of Course, all otaku-like, we met up in Akihabara.

Been working pretty hard @ both work and doujin stuff, I went back home to America for a few weeks and came back Last Friday. I'm happy to say I have completed and have the copies of my new Artbook in my hands ready for Comiket:

Code Geass Cafe

Yesterday was the last day "Cure Maid Cafe" in Akihabara was doing their special "Code Geass Cafe,"

as I was informed by a fellow Geass Cosplaying friend of mine. I wanted to check this out so I decided to go check it out since it was my last chance to do so.

Comiket 78 Report (Belated, yes)

Well, again belated, but I should post it for goodness sake.

Comic Market 78, the first Comiket I applied to as a circle and didn't make it in. Might have been a good thing though, I managed to go with bunch of awesome dudes and even got to try out lining up from midnight (that's NO NO kids, you don't line up all night!! *wink*wink*) Anyways, here we go:

Our team assembled at Rinsabers hotel, got a nice view of Ariake from the Daiba Hotel.

Hobby Japan w/ Black Rock Shooter DVD

...I forgot to buy it at wonfes, didn't occur to me that Septembers Hobby Japan was the one with the BRS DVD in it. So I went and got it at Gamers in Akihabara, it came with a cool BRS Print :)

Wonder Festival Entrance Banner

Start of Summer Loot: Getter Go Revoltech and Figma Mio

Summer Vacation started for me today and I went down to Akihabara after school to kick off the summer with some new loot!

Actually, I had in mind to buy the Revoltech Getter Robo Go at first.

I have to mention, Getter Robo Go is THE mecha anime I grew up with. I watched it when I was like four or five and I remember being obsessed about it, I even remember this transformable toy that came with the three parts of the robot, being able to transform into its different modes.

Well, thats long gone, but seeing Getter Go Remade by Revoltech is a huge high of nostalgia for me. Bet some of you understand this feeling.

Anyways, I went to the Kaiyodo store in Akiba and bought it there. Later I realized other places sold it cheaper. But Kaiyodo gave me free Revopliers and a 10 point coin with my purchase, so I guess there is benefit from buying it at the original store :)

Tokyo Anime Fair this week! I found out yesterday and attended the 

business day! (You need to over 18 and have business cards to get in on Thursday and Friday)

Saturday and Sunday are the general public day, so if you want to attend you still can!

(glad I went today, Probably will be at least 3 times crowded during the public days)
