New Fall Blog Design + Winter Comiket Pending Results

Redesigned the Blog! How's it look? :D

Comiket Results are pouring in as I wait by the side unable to check my application status. The news is- All applicants were to have received (or so I'm thought to believe) a postcard with a application confirmation number. Using that number we are able to go to the Circle.ms website and use the Comic Market 77's "Circle registration information and information retrieval systems" (コミックマーケット77の「サークル情報登録&当落情報検索システム) and find out the results of our application.

called up my relatives (I used their addy cause I'm not in Japan right now)- said they never got that postcard with number.

...well that screws me up.
I tried everything but looks like it's no use. There is a way to ask for it by sending some lost/unarrived form to the comiket staff but, I found out that it's only a week away from them sending the real packets (Before the confirmation number postcard and online checking existed, people submitted their applications and waited for this "result package" containing either an acceptance form with tickets to participating in comiket OR a "sry you didn't make it" note, which they still do).

So, guess I need to wait a week for the result packets to find out ANYTHING. The worst that can happen is- that packet ALSO doesnt get delivered. :( I sure hope not. Anyways awaiting any news from Japan regarding my Comiket 77 application.

ARRGH.

Well while I wait I must try to get some work done on the books I have planned for that event anyways.

December 2008~

Well I'm back to using this blog thing I guess,
new design, layout, awesome stuff.

I'm in my... 3rd before last quarter at AIFL,
I'm taking my portfolio preperation class and 3D dynamics and particles class.

So far, both have been pretty easy.
I really need to focus on making my demo reel, but i'm having a hard time
making a 30sec-1min story, cause I want my reel to have a story which is recommended.

all my stories end up coule minutes at least, the one I want to do-
I've storyboarded half of it and I can already tell its 2~4 minutes.ugh
but I think I can get rid of half of it and make it work.
...(i still want to make the entire story though...)

I've been wanting to draw STUFF, but I've had all this other STUFF to rearrange and organize that by the time i finish it's always already 2am when I want to start drawing. my hands dead by then. correction: my brains dead by then.

BUt I have been working on the animation that I made last quarter, which has been named "wings" til now, the official name is "Angel for a day" or "Angel Day". When I turned it in it lacked BGM, and only had tidbits of sound effects. Few days ago I did some sound hunting online and found the stuff I needed to finish that animation. I'm done with it completely as far as I can do in ToonBoom, all I need to do is make a youtube able video (youtube seems to hate quicktime animations, well actually, all programs besides quicktime seems to hate them, which is a pity cause quicktime renders so beautifully). ANyways, I finally got it made into a AVI, which I can put on a DVD... to show people who've been wanting to see my work. -3-
but now FLASH is being a pain, all the AVI renders for "Confidence" comes out pretty bad... I have to wait until school to use after affects or something to convert it to AVI nicely (...I'm downloading converts too, tonight).

so if this was all Blah Blah Blah to you fine, I'll get you to the visuals:

"confidence" and a Messed up version of "angel day" is there.

you can see the flash versions here:

k, back to work

Phoenix Wright one

Well here I am. I have a BLOG. technically i've had different places where i posted something occasionally like a blog, but they werent...BLOG.

Okay well screw the introduction. I always do a fricking "yay! I got a blog" type intro. so no.

Anyways yesterday I bought Phoenix Wright for the DS. I played it endlessly. and havent beat it. Well, that's a good sign. I was puzzled as to how a attourney game could be fun. But after all the months and months of hype, I walked by a shelf that had this game on it and just picked it up.

'yeah, i heard this was good, i'll get it. if its not i can blame the people who said it was'

It's a battle of wits. Mind versus matter. Finding faults in the faultless. You're a Lawyer and youre defending the innocent accused. the opponent is a prosectutor trying to get your client proven guilty.

It's a big mystery solving game. Except lots of scenarios. well... I've only gone through four but, they were long as hell. And good on top of that.

The last two mystery games i played were "Touch Detective" and "Hotel Dusk: Room 215" (i think that was the number). You search for clues, you find the culprit.

But here, you do investigations gather evidence, and then find the opponents weakness in the court and then you rub the evidence in their face to get them to confess that they did it.

Oh and the voice recognition is kinda silly at first... but now I just have this rush to shout "OBJECTION!" partly thanks to Hailnekoyasha's Phoenix Wright comics she's done on DA :3
Those are great.

Thats all of Phoenix wright for now. Least when I beat it I know I have a sequel waiting for me to play ^^

I watched all of Bleach. All episodes in existance. I'm kinda... i dunno wiped out. I'm gonna wait maybe a month or so for some episodes to come out before I start watching again. That Filler Arc was nuts. But I watched it, for some reason.

ok I gotta work. bye.
